The first time I met David was nearly five years ago when I was considering buying property. Although I did not purchase anything then, and life took me out of state, when it was time to move back I knew who I wanted to work with. David accommodated my wife and I on very short notice when we decided to come home to visit family and look at houses knowing we were moving back to the Finger Lakes. I asked to look at a few specific properties, and David also presented some comparable properties that we could look at along the way. Additionally, I had heard of a house for sale that was going to go on the market the day we were looking that I wanted to see and asked David if he could arrange for that. Although it was listed under another realtor, and there was no information online about it, David was able to get the information we needed to contact the listing agent. After David contacted them, he made arrangements for us to go see the house. The owner was home and we didn't have an appointment, but David represented us very well and we were able to see it. As soon as we saw this house, my wife and I knew that we would love to live there and make it our home. David was very knowledgeable with the aspects of the house including finishes, utilities, and quality points. The three of us knew that this house would not remain on the market very long given the price point, the quality, and the location. It was time to make an offer, so I asked David what he thought would be a good starting point that would not offend the seller. David was honest with me regarding that question and I trusted him. We went with his suggestion, but given that the house was just put on the market, the owner did not come down at all initially. However, David negotiated for us with the seller and he was able to get the price down for us to a place where we felt comfortable purchasing.
